    PM Drew Welcomes Continued Decline in Crime Across the Federation

    Saint Kitts & Nevis 25th July 2026
    St Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority has taken a major step towards accessibility. Sea Ports operations across the organisation, together with Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport is participating in the training programme co-ordinated jointly by the St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA)  and the St. Kitts Tourism Authority (SKTA). The training programme was attended by 60 participants from the St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA)'s Security and Customer Service teams. Notably, the training ran for three days with the aim to provide Service excellence Training.  The workshop was facilitated by Goldha Franks, Training Manager at the St. Kitts Tourism Authority (SKTA). The Authorities have shared with the people of the island workshop sessions. The programme also covered key areas including customer service excellence, effective communication, conflict resolution, teamwork, and collaboration. SCASPA said the participants also had the opportunity to talk about the advantages and challenges of delivering quality customer service. During the three day workshop, the participants talked about several practical approaches to handling diverse customer needs and situations. "As frontline employees, we reminded participants of the important role they play in shaping the arrival and departure experience of passengers while maintaining the necessary operational and security procedures," SCASPA said. three-day Service excellence Training Programme placed significant focus on disability awareness. Thep participants learned about accessibility and inclusive customer service. Representatives of the St. Kitts and Nevis Disabilities Association, Anthony Mills and Lorenzo Jackson, shared valuable perspectives and practical guidance on respectfully and effectively assisting persons with disabilities and creating a more inclusive passenger experience. The training programme highlights SCASPA’s commitment to developing its workforce and maintaining high standards of professionalism, accessibility and service excellence across its airport and seaport operations. This is a major  milestone for the people of the island as well as the travellers who choose St Kitts and Nevis for their vacations.  The people of the island have shared that the disability awareness aspect of the workshop was one of the most important development to come out of the three day event.
