Air Canada has opened flexible rebooking for the passengers who were affected by closure of the airspace on Saturday, January 3. The closure of the Caribbean airspace, mandated by the military action in Venezuela caused several passengers to remain stranded due to delays in flights.
Air Canada, one of the airlines, which had to cancel and postpone their flights due to the airspace closure gave their customers the service for flexible rebooking. The US Mandated closure of the airspace was lifted on Sunday, January 4. However, several airlines, including Air Canada and American Airlines gave their customers the facility to plan their travel again.
The Canada Air offered flexible prebooking for the passengers leaving from the Caribbean Destinations, up to Tuesday, January 6. Air Canada does not service the destination of St Kitts and Nevis directly, however, this was a region wide directive for the people visiting Caribbean destinations.
The support that the travellers have received from the airlines in this time, as many people were left in a state of confusion due to the delays and cancellations of flights. Air Canada has shared that in order to be eligible for this support, tickets must have been purchased prior to Jan. 2, 2026.
In this case, the tickets can be rebooked up until Jan. 13. The flight bookings will The offer applies to itineraries that include a flight to, from or through one of the following airports:

- Aruba, Aruba (AUA)
- Bridgetown, Barbados (BGI)
- Curaçao, Curaçao (CUR)
- Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago (POS)
- San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU)
- St. Lucia, Saint Lucia (UVF)
- St. Maarten, Sint Maarten (SXM)
- St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands (STT)
- Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadaloupe (PTP)
- Fort-de-France, Martinique (FDF)
- Grenada, Grenada (GND)
- St. Vincent, St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVD)
- St. Kitts, St. Kitts and Nevis (SKB)
- Bogotá, Colombia (BOG)
- Cartagena, Colombia (CTG)
