St. Kitts and Nevis has been named as one of the best in 11 categories of the 2027 Scuba Diving Readers’ Choice Awards. The island has been named best overall by the readers of the Scuba Diving Magazine.

The honors that the island has received highlights the full extent of the island’s underwater experience. The magazine highlights all of the island’s dive sites and the condition of its reefs, the marine life and the appeal of each site to the divers. The readers saw the appeal of all the sites to the divers at every level, starting with first-timers and snorkellers to advanced divers and underwater photographers.

The CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, Kelly Fontenelle has shared that the honors are significant for the island. She called the divers who chose St. Kitts for these high honors as discerning audience and it is a matter of celebration to recieve 11 honors about the country’s diving sites directly from them.

The CEO of SKTA has shared that the island was recognised for everything from our wrecks and walls to the health of our marine environment. This tells the authorities that the offerings under the St. Kitts waters are equally as appealing as the offerings on island.

St. Kitts was named One of the Best in each of the following categories:

1. Best Overall

2. Wreck Diving

3. Wall Diving

4. Big Animals

5. Macro Life

6. Health of Marine Environment

7. Underwater Photography

8. Best Value

9. Beginners

10. Advanced

The organisation has given the credit of the honors to the people who have worked hard to protect the nation’s underwater assets and reefs. SKTA CEO Fontenelle has said that St. Kitts has a place for everyone no matter how new they are to the experience of diving.
