Minister of Agriculture, Lands, Natural Resources, Fisheries, Cooperatives, Culture and Housing, Eric Evelyn recently took to his social media account to share a congratulatory message with the winners of the St Thomas Youth Excellence Awards in Nevis. The event was hosted on Thursday, May 4, 2023. The Dew Drops Restaurant served as the venue for the event organized by Latoya Biyanca Jones, the Ambassador of St Thomas Parish and the Concerned Citizens Movement representative.
The people of the St Thomas Parish got recognition for their work in the various sectors of the Nevis and the wider federation. The awards were given to six deserving people of the constituency for their contribution to the development of their own and the community that they live in.
Minister of Agriculture, Lands, Natural Resources, Fisheries, Cooperatives, Culture and Housing, Eric Evelyn attended the award ceremony for the St Thomas Youth Excellence Awards. He also spend some time with the awardees and posed alongside the youngsters for individual photographs. He extended his deep and heartfelt best wishes to the winners of the excellence awards.
Ambassador Latoya Biyanca Jones also shared the images of the award ceremony on her social media account. Over the past several weeks, the St Thomas Parish representative of Concerned Citizens Movement has been sharing the stories and achievements of all of the award recipients. Accordingly, Minister Eric Evelyn took to his social media account to applaud the initiative, which is currently in its third conseutive year.
The awardees are:
- Nayala Daniel, who recieved recognition for her achievement and contribution to the Performing Arts
- Dalvern Williams was recognized for his extensive contribution to Policing
- Chris Clarke was honored for his work in the field of Volunteerism
- Dijonne Hanley got the award for her contribution in the field of Education and Learning
- Vincia Hendrickson was applauded for her contribution to Nursing
- Finally, Bryton Nisbett recieved applause for work in Digital Creation.
