Dr Terrance Drew, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, accompanied Junior Minister of Gender Affairs Isalean Phillip to the Business and Professional Women (BPW) North America and the Caribbean Regional Conference 2023. The conference was held in St Kitts on January 12, 2023. The venue for the meeting was the St Kitts Marriott Resort and Royal Beach Casino.
The Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew took to his social media account to share the update on his social media account. He shared some glimpses and details of the conference in which he participated. He also reported that the regional co-ordinator of Business and Professional Woman (BPW), Dawne Williams organized the event.
As per Dr Terrance Drew, organizing the event provided attendees with the opportunity to meet colleagues from around the world and engage in discussions covering topics designed to build organizational knowledge and help achieve professional goals.
St Kitts and Nevis will also play host to the BPW gala, which will be held on January 14, 2023. The leaders and prominent officials of St Kitts and Nevis also hosted a welcome reception for the delegation of Business and Professional Women visiting St Kitts and Nevis for the conference.
The welcome reception was held at Government House on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. The reception was held under the patronage of the Governor-General’s Deputy, Her Excellency Marcella A. Liburd.
The attending ministers and officials for the welcome event were the Minister of Gender Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister Dr Geoffrey Hanley, along with the Junior Minister within the ministry, Isalean Phillip. They Interacted with the BPW Delegation, appreciating them for being recognized for their efforts and good work in their respective careers.
Dr Terrance Drew and his government are committed to getting the best opportunities for ensuring gender equality in the federation. The SKNLP-led government has made several efforts towards giving women an equal place as their counterparts in the country.
