Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, who has also taken up the responsibility of the Ministry of Health, took his regular walkthrough of one of the primary healthcare institutions in St Kitts and Nevis, the Joseph N France General Hospital.
Under the government’s commitment to providing quality healthcare to the people of St Kitts and Nevis, the minister of health, Dr Terrance Drew, regularly visits the healthcare facilities all over the island. On Thursday, January 12, 2023, the Prime Minister and Minister of Health visited the Outpatient/Accident and Emergency Department, Ophthalmology Department, Radiology Department, and Blood Bank and Laboratory.
Dr Terrance Drew also took to his social media account to share an update regarding his visit to the hospital. In the update, Dr Terrance Drew shared several images providing a glimpse of the Outpatient/Accident and Emergency Department, Ophthalmology Department, Radiology Department, Blood Bank and Laboratory.
This is the Prime Minister’s second trip to the Joseph N France General Hospital. Dr Drew visited the establishment to congratulate the parents of the first two babies of the new year. PM Drew visited the parents of the first two babies (boys) and gave them tips for responsible care of the children. He also played with the children and spent time in the hospital.
The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis is a practising doctor trained for the profession in Cuba. Healthcare is of the utmost priority for the government under his administration. The government, led by Dr Terrance Drew, has made several advancements in the field of healthcare. The health department has arranged several workshops and training seminars to develop and uplift the healthcare standards in St Kitts and Nevis.
The primary efforts include arranging a training session for Basic Life Support Training for the healthcare professionals of St Kitts and Nevis.
