The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, has shared glimpses into the gala he hosted on Saturday, January 7, 2022. It was his first gala as a Prime Minister, and it was greatly successful. The Prime Minister has taken to his social media account to reiterate that he was truly honoured by the turnout.
He expressed his profound joy at the success of the Prime Minister’s New Year’s Gala on Saturday. At the same time, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew promised the people of the federation that St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party administrations faced several challenges, which they have tackled head-on.
According to the Prime Minister, the challenges that the nation faces will not vanish overnight. However, he expressed that as he stands here at the start of 2023, he is full of renewed hope and optimism of better days to come.”
He confessed that the theme of his Prime Minister’s gala was quite appropriate—NEW BEGINNINGS. Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew delivered an address at the gala he hosted for the people of St Kitts and Nevis and several other important guests.
In his address, the Prime Minister thanked the people of St Kitts and Nevis for choosing him and his administration for serving them. He also expressed that the people’s trust is a privilege in itself. Prime Minister Drew stated that the government and administration intend to treat it as such.
Prime Minister Drew promised to offer greater opportunities for advancement, innovative programmes and policies. According to Prime Minister Drew, these opportunities will transform the people’s lives and livelihoods and the federation as a whole.
Prime Minister Dr Drew announced that the SKNLP-led administration would value the promises made to the people of St Kitts and Nevis. He promised to work on the Mandate that the people had entrusted them. At the same time, in his address, he committed to working hard to make the people proud of their homeland.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew noted that the government had passed the first budget of the SKNLP-led administration. Exciting times are ahead, said the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis while talking about their plans for the new year. Prime Minister Terrance Drew spoke about food security, economic diversification, green energy transition among several other mandates for the new year.
