Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis: The wife of the Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Diani Prince Drew, participated in an important High-Level Event on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. The event was held at the United Nations Headquarters with First Ladies and Gentlemen from across the globe to celebrate the UN’s 80th anniversary.

The St.Kitts and Nevis Information Service shared the glimpses of the high-level event on its official Facebook Page on September 24, 2025. The post also contained a short note about the event along with its glimpses.

According to the short note shared by the Service, it should be noted that the theme of the event was “The Role of First Ladies and Gentlemen – United for Peace and Prosperity.” It was a gathering of different regional and international organizations working towards peace, unity, and sustainable development.

The discussions had provided good opportunities to reflect on the increasing involvement of the First Ladies and Gentlemen in peace, education, health, human dignity, and social improvement beyond frontiers as change agents.

Notably, Terrance Drew’s wife also addressed the gathering of first ladies from all over the world on several important topics. In her speech, Mrs Drew highlighted the importance of teamwork and focused alignment for the people to make a tomorrow of peace and plenty, not for one nation but for the world.

The United Nations General Assembly has been bringing the world leaders together for the last 80 years. The UN continues to play a very important role in maintaining peace in the world. Even with eight full decades between the inauguration of the United Nations, the organization continues to remain extremely crucial for the people of the world.

Diani Prince Drew’s participation reflects Saint Kitts and Nevis’ ongoing commitment to collaborating with global partners to create a better, safer, and more thriving world.
