Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis led a delegation of officers and government leaders to New York for the 80th edition of the United Nations General Assembly. The delegation consists of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Denzil Douglas and Minister of Environment and Climate Action, Dr Joyelle Clarke 

The delegation will be attending a series of international meetings with the members of the international community. The officials have shared that the 81st  edition of UNGA will be focussed on crucial discussions like climate change, climate action and more.  

The topics of financing for development, global peace and security will also be a matter of focus for the leaders attending the General Assembly. The officials have shared that the members of the international community will be discussing several important issues affecting the global geopolitics.  

The officials have shared that they will also discuss the work that the nations have done in attaining the Sustainable Development Goals. During the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew will be delivering the national address on behalf of his nation.  

The Prime Minister has addressed the General Assembly for the last three years and furthered the agenda of St Kitts and Nevis in from of the rest of the world. 

The officials have shared that even though St Kitts and Nevis is one of the smallest island nations in the world, the administration of the country has been dedicatedly advocating for the rights of their nationals.  

In the last three appearances of Dr Terrance Drew at the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Drew has represented the people of his nation passionately on the international platform.  

The officials have shared that it such interactions are extremely crucial for the future of the island nation. Highlighting the island nation in the international events and a platform of this scale is proof that the members of the administration are dedicated to bringing prosperity to the country.
