The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Terrance Drew has co chaired the High-Level Breakfast of Climate Mobility Champions, hosted by the Global Centre for Climate Mobility during the UN General Assembly High-Level Week. Several high level stakeholders were present at the event on Day 2 of the United Nations. 

The officials have shared that it is important for the leaders of the island nations to work with international organizations. The officials have shared that it is important for the people of the island nation to work together. 

Along with Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew, the other leaders who co-chaired the breakfast meeting include leaders from Tuvalu, São Tomé and Príncipe, Palau, and Australia. All the leaders of the island nations are faced with the same crises, including Climate Change. 

The leaders have shared that it is their responsibility to make sure that they work for the welfare of their country. The Prime Minister took the opportunity during this breakfast meeting to highlight the challenges that the small island nations like St Kitts and Nevis has been facing in the light of worldwide climate crisis. 

Dr Drew has maintained that St Kitts and Nevis has been adversely affected by the climate crisis that they had no part in creating. The Prime Minister also highlighted that they have to defend their right to stay for the future that is still being made. 

He highlighted the importance of resilience in the fight against the climate crisis for all the small island nations. The officials have shared that it is important for them to work together with the international community. 

Dr Terrance Drew took the opportunity to thank Global Centre for Climate Mobility for  organizing this event. The Prime Minister has shared that he was delighted to work with international partners who will help St Kitts and Nevis achieve their climate goals.
