SKNDF Cadet Corps Wins Regional Drill Competition in Anguilla

The St Kitts Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) Cadet Corps recently travelled to Antigua and Barbuda to represent the country at the Captain Vernon Fleming Regional Drill Competition. The event was hosted in Anguilla where the cadet corps delivered an outstanding performance on behalf of their island.

The results for the competition have also been announced by the organisers and the performance of the Federation’s team has been highlighted. The SKNDF Cadet Corps have secured a series of honors for the force. The organisers confirmed that The SKNDF Cadet Corps secured the overall first place in the competition. They also secured the award for Best Turnout and Discipline. The Kittitian team was the Best Drill Squad and featured the Best Commanding Officer

Cadet Sergeant Gemani Gumbs was responsible for leading and commanding the SKNDF cadet squad during the competition. He demonstrated strong leadership, confidence, precision and discipline throughout the competition.

The organisation took to their social media and highlighted that the work done by the team has led to SKNDF receiving appreciation and accolades from across the region. The officials have shared that the competition was a showcase of the country’s abilities.

The authorities have shared that achievement shows the hard work of the cadets, instructors and support staff. At the same time, the success of the cadet corps also highlights the work done by the high level officials of the SKNDP to develop leadership and military standards through the SKNDF Cadet Corps programme.

The SKNDF Cadet Corps congratulated the Cadet Sergeant Gemani Gumbs and the entire cadet team. They called the victory of the team in the regional competition an exceptional achievement. The Corp also congratulates the Anguilla Cadet Corp squad and staff for their remarkable performance. 

The competition is hosted with the aim of bringing all the armed forces together to showcase their talent, discipline. The officials have shared that all the teams showcased  their during the competition. 

The people of St. Kitts and Nevis have congratulated the team for their remarkable performance and expressed their pride in seeing the federation shining in the regional stage.
