The Water Department of St Kitts and Nevis has shared the update on the water supply interruption in Stapleton Village. The Department took to its social media account to apologize for the inconvenience the situation caused them.

The update shared by the water department claimed that the interruption was caused due to a fault on the supply line from the Green Hill Source. The authorities have visited the area and are trying to solve the issue as soon as possible. The authorities have come out on their social media account to share that their Crew is out trying to locate and remedy this fault.

They have added that They need help to verify when this might be rectified. The St Kitts Department of Water Supply promised they would provide an update as soon as they can access more information. The Department regrets any inconvenience that this interruption in supply might cause.

The Prime minister, Dr Drew, the parliamentary representative of Constituency 8, where the issue has come up, also shared an update on the situation on his social media account. The Parliamentary representative urged the people to support the St Kitts water Department workers while they work.

The authorities have started looking into the issue, and further investigation revealed that the water department of St Kitts could restore the water supply to the houses in the St Peter’s Community soon.

Meanwhile, the country’s people have expressed their worry about the current situation in the country. Many of the communities in St Kitts are facing a drought-like situation. This is because the rainfall for the season was not at par with the utilization and the water supply of the country is completely dependant on the rainfall.

Accordingly, the people of the country are facing a shortage in adaquate water supply for the day to day usage.
