The Minister of Public Utilities in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, Konris Maynard, recently took to his social media to share a significant development in the Water Services Department of St Kitts and Nevis. The Water Department of St Kitts has recently started a 24-hour service hotline for the island’s various communities. This service will come on stream from Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

The Minister of Public Utilities, Konris Maynard called the achievement of the 24-hour service hotline historic. Minister Maynad=rd detailed in his social media post Today, we launched a dedicated 24/7 Customer Service WATER Hotline and Emergency Crew for the first time in our history.

With the implementation of a 24-hour hotline for water services, the people of St Kitts can call around the clock. They can use the hotline number to report water leaks, make complaints about your water service, inquire about your water service and its associated issues, and share important information with the St Kitts Water Services Department.

Minister Konris Maynard handles the responsibility of the Cable Department, The Water Services Department, and the St Kitts Electricity Company Limited as a part of the Public Utilities Ministry. He is working diligently to provide the highest quality of services to the people of the island. The minister engages in regular meetings with the staff members of the departments under is jurisdiction.

Meanwhile, The Minister shared the first update on the undertaking of the 24-hour hotline. He wrote on his social media that the customer service representatives would log your inquiry and dispatch our emergency crew if needed or pass on the issue to the relevant officer in the water services department. He added that once the issue is resolved, the representatives will follow up with the person who registered the original complaint.

Minister Konris Maynard believes that Water is Life and every drop counts. The service hotline will help the people get better access to the department’s service and allow them to have a channel of communication with the Department of water services.
