He spoke about the various investments that the government of St. Kitts and Nevis have made during their tenure in office. One of the most important initiatives that Dr Drew talked about during his roundtable was the Children’s Medical Fund.

The initiative is funded through the office of the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis. The programme was announced by the Prime Minister within the first week of coming to office.

As a part of his media interaction, PM Drew confirmed that the initiative is designed to make sure that the parents who come from vulnerable households do not have to worry about affordability if their children need emergency healthcare.

The Prime Minister has shared that since the beginning of the programme, more than 150 children have been assisted in securing emergency overseas healthcare. The Prime Minister also highlighted that the government has also secured a fleet of five new ambulances to the country.
