The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, who is also responsible for the Ministry of Social security, Dr Terrance Drew, has shared on his social media account his commitment towards ensuring National Security in the government of St Kitts and Nevis. He shared an update on his social media account, which featured some images of the Prime Minister during a meeting with the various heads of National Security.
He assured the people of St Kitts and Nevis in his social media post that The Government of St Kitts and Nevis is working diligently to ensure that the security agencies of the federation can maintain a zero-tolerance approach to crime. They will focus on preserving law and order within the various communities.
Further, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew added in his social media post that in accordance with the various responsibilities that he takes up as the minister of national security, he plans to conduct regular meetings with the various Heads of National Security agencies. During these meetings, the attendants will discuss joint operations as part of the ministry’s mandate to implement and strengthen its crime-fighting strategies.
The prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, believes that Societal peace and stability are prerequisites for true social and economic advancement. He further believes that they help in the realization of our progressive Sustainable Island State Agenda.
According to Dr Drew, The management of our security forces, as well as the enforcement of law and order, must always be guided by the rules of natural justice.
Dr Terrance Drew talked about the meeting in his social media post and informed the people that along with him, the meeting was attended by:
- National Security Advisor, Major General Stewart Saunders; Commissioner of Police, Hilroy Brandy;
- Assistant Commissioner of Police, Adolph Adams;
- Assistant Commissioner of Police Andre Mitchell;
- Assistant Commissioner of Police McCarta Browne.
