The Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley, recently took to his social media account to inform the people of Nevis about the opening of a new mental healthcare facility on the island. The facility is aimed at promoting the mental welfare of the people of Nevis. The Premier of Nevis is giving a lot of attention to the people who require urgent attention and help to deal with their mental health issues.
In line with this, The Premier wrote on his social media account that Nevis is moving forward with their efforts to better serve persons with mental health challenges. The administration of Nevis seeks to remove the stigma sometimes associated with mental health. In line with this, The NIA has opened a new stand-alone facility at Prospect.
Meanwhile, the NIA renamed the facility on March 31 during a brief ceremony. The new name of the facility is Behavioral Health and Wellness Center. The wellness centre is a treatment facility which seeks to give the people of Nevis struggling with mental health issues a safe place. As per Premier Mark Brantley, the facility will allow people to relax, have a shower and get their clothes cleaned.
The Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley further asserted that We need more compassion, more kindness, and more understanding. We must be kinder and gentler and must become our brother’s keeper and our sister’s helper.
