The Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley, recently took to his social media account to share a significant update regarding the 2023 edition of the Agriculture Expo. The agricultural event is being held under the patronage of Colin Huggins. The event served as an opportunity for agriculture stakeholders in the island nation. The Expo will be held at the ETW park in Charlestown. The event will be held for two days, on March 30 and 31, 2023.
The event will bring together several agricultural experts, farmers, policymakers and the general public. The Premier of Nevis shared that they will get to showcase the latest trends and innovations in the field. The farmers and agriculture stakeholders will get the opportunity to get in touch with the latest practices. The 2023 edition of the Agriculture Expo is open to all people.
The Department of Agriculture is hosting the event under Together for food sovereignty: Agri-Expo 2023. The event will feature several different events at the Expo. These events include technical Demons, Food Demons, Farmer’s Market, a Food Court, Agro-Processors, Ornaments, Cultural Acts, Live Entertainment, a Kid’s Zone, Arts & Crafts, Exotic Zoo, Domino Competition.
Premier Mark Brantley shared that the event is free for all students attending the agriculture expo in a school uniform. Meanwhile, the entry fee for adults is EC $5. On Thursday, March 30, 2023. The Expo will witness performances of Kore Band, Odisi Band, and Recklife Movement. Meanwhile, on Friday, March 31, Grand Masters Band, Nu Wave Band and Blackstone Sounds will showcase their performances. Premier Mark Brantley detailed that the Expo will serve as an opportunity for the experts in the agriculture industry.
It will allow industry leaders to share their knowledge and experiences and discuss emerging issues and challenges prevailing in the agricultural sector.
