The last day of the 1st Summer Camp of 2026 of the Embassy of St. Kitts and Nevis to the Republic of China (Taiwan) concluded on Friday August 7 2026. The Embassy shared the glimpse of the last day online on their official social media post yesterday.
The Embassy said, “Our three day summer Camp at Ger-Jyh Senior High School Came to an end last Friday 7th August, 2026”. The camp commenced on August 5, 2026 at the Ger-Jyh Senior High School in No. 260, Dazhi Street, Sanchong District, New Taipei City, Taiwan.
On the last day the Embassy organised the presentations on St. Kitts and Nevis Folklore and Festival for the campers. In the presentations Embassy showcased the highlights of the recent Culturama Festival of Nevis island.
During the last day Embassy volunteers helped the campers in making the Carnival Headpieces. The last day was led by Patricia Clarke and accompanied by Ezeah Brandy, Tyrique Jeffers, Jahmarley Riley, Alice Huang, Ansel Lin and Ambassador Donya Francis.
Moreover, Embassy volunteer Tyrique and Jahmarely also performed a Masquerade dance to show campers about the tradition of the St. Kitts and Nevis. The Masquerade dance is a traditional dance form performed during the Christmas within. the federation. The dance form reflects the combinations of African and European traditions in which dancers wear masks, colorful costumes and dance on the beats of traditional drum music.
Additionally, the Embassy also thanked the Taiwan Ger-Jyh Senior High School authority for their cooperation and help in organizing the Taiwan’s Embassy’s first 1st Summer Camp of 2026. The Embassy extended their gratitude to the school for their continued support and partnership with the organisation.
On the first day of the camp attendees got to know about the historical sites of St. Kitts and Nevis and on the second day the Embassy split the campers into two groups first “Taiwan Can Help” and second “Sustainable Island Agenda (SISA)” in which they engaged interactive activities regarding their groups topic.
Notably, the second session of the Embassy’s second summer is scheduled to take place at Nansan High School from Monday August 10 to Friday 14, 2026.
