The prime minister of St Kitts and Nevis,Dr Terrance Drew recently visited Toronto, Canada to interact and engage with some of the St Kitts and Nevis Nationals living in the diaspora. He left for Canada in the later half of the previous week.
Dr Drew was in canada for the St Kitts and Nevis Association of Toronto pre independence celebration cultural extravaganza. The event was held with members of the diaspora kick starting the celebration for the upcoming 40th anniversary of independence in Toronto. The event was held on Sunday, September 10, 2023.
During his overseas trip to visit the members of his diaspora, Dr Terrance Drew also had the opportunity to visit the University of Health Network (UHN), The Prime Minister and Minister and Minister of health in the government of St Kitts and Nevis called the healthcare facility a state-of-the-art climate-smart hospital located in Toronto, Canada.
Taking to his social media, Dr Terrance Drew shared an update about the significant visit. He got an insight into the state of the art facilities that are available for the people of Toronto. He revealed through his social media, This visit underscores my commitment to securing opportunities for sustainable economic growth and innovation for the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
University of Health Network is renowned for its exceptional healthcare facilities and extensive research capabilities, and boasts the largest hospital-based research program in Canada. The institution is at the forefront of groundbreaking research in fields such as cardiology, transplantation, neurosciences, oncology, surgical innovation, infectious diseases, genomic medicine, and rehabilitation medicine.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew, who handles the responsibility for the ministry of health in the government of St Kitts and Nevis shared some images from his visit. He engaged and interacted with several members of the UHN staff and got some valuable knowledge of the working of the organization which he expects to bring back to St Kitts and Nevis and put to good use for the benefit of the people.
