The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, who handles the responsibility for the Ministry of Health, has expressed his delight in beginning the ten-year celebration of the establishment of the hemodialysis unit to benefit the island’s people. The tenth-anniversary festival started with a church service.
The celebrations continue through to September 6 with free blood pressure and sugar checks at the JNF General Hospital on Monday, September 4, and an Open Day at the Unit on Wednesday, September 6.

Adding the Unit at the JNF General Hospital has remained one of the most ambitious and critical steps the administration has taken for the benefit of the people after the installation of the Hemodialysis Unit, the country’s people who are struggling with kidney-related ailments do not have to travel overseas to get lifesaving treatment.

The event celebrated not only the ten-year anniversary of the installation of the hemodialysis unit but also the remarkable team of the hemodialysis unit at the JNF General Hospital in Baseterre, St Kitts.
