Prime Minister Terrance Drew met with the leader of the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP), Dr Janice Daniel-Hodge, on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. The two leaders met at the Prime Minister’s office in the Government headquarters.
The leader of the Nevis Reformation Party met with the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis and talked about several matters of importance.
The NRP leader in a recent interview, stated that the political party has not stopped their campaigning efforts and is now gearing up for the upcoming local assembly elections
PM Terrance Drew had recently hosted the Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley, in the prime minister’s office for a meeting, where the two leaders discussed various matters of importance and made promises to work together as a team for the betterment of the twin-island federation.
Dr Terrance Drew was sworn into his position as the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis on Saturday, August 6, 2022. A week later, the prime minister’s cabinet was sworn in and handed over their respective ministries.
During his address at the swearing-in ceremony, the prime minister assured the citizens of Nevis that the (St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party) administration would work for the development of both the islands (of St Kitts as well as Nevis).
Even though the people of Nevis could not directly choose them as their leader, Dr Terrance Drew assured them that he was their prime minister as well and that he was committed to their welfare and development.
The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis remains committed to finding the solutions to the problems that the people of Nevis Island are facing with the government, including allocating CBI funds.
Prime Minister Drew said the discussion also brushed on the issue of budgetary support to the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) to ensure that the allotments are impartial and equitable.
He said he also discussed this with the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) leader, Dr Janice Daniel-Hodge.
