The prime minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, has extended his heartfelt condolences on the tragic train crash incident in Odisha, India, on Friday, June 2, 2023. As per the reports, the crash happened between three trains and resulted in the deaths of over 300 victims. Meanwhile, 900 victims are injured due to the fatal three-train crash.
The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis extended his condolences to the government of India and the bereaved families and friends of the victims who were a part of the incident. Dr Drew took to his social media account to share his condolences with the government of India. He wrote that he was deeply saddened to hear the news of the Horrific train crash in Odisha.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew wrote on his social media account that he wanted to extend his deepest condolences to the Government and People of India, particularly those who lost their loved ones. Dr Terrance Drew stated that he also keeps the injured and their families and friends in his thoughts and prayers. The Prime Minister has joined several other leaders and prominent personalities from across the globe.
The tragic incident took place in the Balasore district on Friday night. The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, has extended his support to the government of India in this trying time. As per the reports, in the accident, the Coromandel Express derailed from the main line. The train collided with a freight train. The coromandel express was moving at a speed of 127 Km/Hr.
During the incident, 12 to 14 coaches of the Coromandel Express fell on the opposite rail after the derailment of the train. Afterwards, the Howrah-bound Yesvantpur Express collided with the derailed compartments of the Coromandel Express while approaching on the opposite track. The collision further added to the tragedy of the incident. The collision led to derailment of three to four coaches of the Yesvantpur Express
