The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew attended the reception hosted by the President of United States of America, Donald J Trump and his wife, First Lady Melanie Trump. The Prime Minister was invited alongside several stakeholders who attended the 80th United Nations General Assembly.

The Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew shared that he was attended the reception dinner in  showcase of St Kitts and Nevis’s strong ties with the United States of America. The Prime Minister was accompanied by his wife the first lady of St Kitts and Nevis to the reception.

He was also extremely honoured to be invited in the event alongside the other members of the international community. The Prime Minister highlighted that St Kitts and Nevis and United States of America have enjoyed strong relationships with one another.

Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew took the opportunity to share some glimpses from his reception dinner wit the President of the US and the First Lady. The event was an opportunity for him to interact with the members of the international community.

In the last week, Dr Terrance Drew has met a significant number of international stakeholders. The members of the international community, during the UN General Assembly, highlighted the crucial role of international solidarity in the fight against the climate crisis.

The Prime Minister highlighted that he was grateful to have the support of the United States of America in the various pursuits of their development. He also noted that he wants to work with United States of America on the shares areas of interest and cooperation between the two nations.

St Kitts and Nevis has been collaborating with United States of America and other international partners for several development initiatives. The aim of said initiatives is to make sure that the people of St Kitts and Nevis are given access to the same facilties as their stronger and more prosperous counterparts
