The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, took to his social media account to share glimpses from the historical coronation ceremony of King Charles III. The Prime Minister was accompanying a delegation of high-ranking ministers and government members. The Prime Minister conveyed that “St Kitts and Nevis was represented at the coronation ceremony of King Charles III.”
The Prime Minister shared several images from the Coronation ceremony of Westminster Abbey, where the coronation ceremony took place on Saturday, May 6, 2023. The Prime Minister got the opportunity to interact with several other members of the international community who were attending the coronation ceremony.
Dr Terrance Drew and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Denzil Douglas, attended the Coronation ceremony in London Westminster Abbey. Premier of Nevis., Mark Brantley, Permanent Secretary in the office of the Prime Minister, Naeemah Hazelle; Diaspora Ambassador Christine Walwyn; and Protocol Foreign Service Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Thouvia France.
The Governor General of St Kitts and Nevis, Marcella Liburd and Deputy Governor General of Nevis, Hyleeta Liburd, also accompanied Prime Minister Dr Drew to the ceremony. The Prime Minister and his delegation representing St Kitts and Nevis at the international historical event had the opportunity to interact with the other members of the Caribbean.
The other representatives of the Caribbean who attended the coronation include Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne, President of Dominica, Charles Severin, Prime Minister of Grenada, Dickon Mitchell, Errol Charles, Acting Governor General of Saint Lucia.
The Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley also shared the glimpses from the coronation ceremony which he attended alongside Dr Terrance Drew. Sharing at the coronation ceremony, Brantley wrote, An historic day in London as we witnessed the Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla. I also had the honour to meet several students and young people from across the Caribbean and the wider Commonwealth.
