St Kitts and Nevis Cabinet approves amendment of Article 83 of RTC

Prime Minister Terrance Drew shared his commitments to the prosperity and development of the nation following the official swearing-in ceremony of his cabinet on Saturday, August 13, 2022. The newly unveiled cabinet was sworn into their positions at a ceremony hosted at the Warner Park Cricket Stadium. 

Prime Minister Terrance Drew took to his Facebook account to share an image posing with his cabinet; he also shared illustrative photos of the individual cabinet members, listing the ministries they are entrusted with. 

Following the ceremony, Prime Minister drew took to his Facebook account to address the residents and citizens of St Kitts and Nevis, expressing his gratitude for choosing him and his comrades to lead them. He wrote:

Greetings,

Fellow citizens and residents, you have entrusted me with the government’s leadership. I, in turn, have confidence in my team. Their selection was not a popularity contest. But instead, I have ensured that each ministry and each statutory corporation have competent, empathetic, respectful, compassionate, accountable and energetic ministers.

I believe we have such ministers. You have heard the names of the cabinet members and their portfolios. I am grateful to them for accepting the portfolios that I would have assigned.

They have accepted the call to service. Before God and you the people, at yesterday’s swearing-in ceremony, they took their oaths.

It is now time to get to work to deliver results according to the agreed performance objectives.

The ruling St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) also shared glimpses of the swearing-in ceremony on their social media page. The prime minister had extended a cordial invitation to the general public of St Kitts and Nevis to attend the swearing-in ceremony of his cabinet. 

 

 

The citizens of the federation showed up in large numbers to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the ministerial cabinet of Prime Minister Terrance Drew, including the newly crowned Jaycees Caribbean Queen Nekirah Nicholls.

Dr Terrance Drew was sworn into his position as the country’s prime minister a week before the rest of his ministerial cabinet. He is being showered with congratulatory messages from leaders worldwide for his success in the country’s general elections.
