Nevis: The 16th edition of the Malcolm Guishard Basketball League has returned to under the sponsorship of Premier Mark Brantley.

This significant basketball league is held every year and the basketball teams from different communities will compete against each other for the victory.

The Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley expressed excitement about the league and stated that it will enhance the sporting skills among the people of Nevis. He also mentioned how the investment in sporting facilities is always a great deal as it is being used by the young generation for their future achievements.

The Premier has been sponsoring the league for the 16th year fostering the financial partnership. He also extended thanks to Wanda Parry who will be hosting the basketball league.

The basketball league is held in Nevis every year expecting the participation of the different teams. The tournament is holding its 16th year and is being hosted in the honour of the late parliamentary representative for the area- Malcolm Guishard.

In the 7th edition of the Basketball League, Cotton Ground won the championship by defeating the CG Massive. In the 13th edition, Mark Brantley supported the league and extended greetings to the winners and their outstanding performers.

In the 12th editions, Dynasty Ballers secured victory in the championship. Wanda Parry hosted the league and proceeded with the warm welcome of all the teams.Considerably, the games have already commenced on Sunday.

Premier Brantley additionally stated, “I love when we invest in sporting facilities and our people utilize them. Truly happy to see the Malcolm Guishard Basketball League back this year and delighted to once again provide sponsorship for my 16th year of financial partnership with the League. Huge thanks to Wanda Parry who continues to lead this effort.”

He applauded the initiatives of his administration behind their agenda of growing Nevis together. Now, the basketball league will be held to bring the communities together and enhance the environment of togetherness.
