The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in St Kitts and Nevis reached out to the Nevis Island Administration to donate some medical equipment to the Ministry of Health, Gender Affairs and Social Empowerment. The Minister of Health in the NIA, Jahnel Nisbett, was present at the handover ceremony to receive the donations that the Emassy of Taiwan made.
Minister Nisbett also took the opportunity to share the glimpses of the handover ceremony with the people of Nevis. The minister also thanked the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for their generous donation. She took to her social media to share the update, detailing that the donation included three brand new dental chairs and associated accessories.
Minister of Health, Gender Affairs and Social Empowerment, Jahnel Nisbett further shared that one of these dental chairs has already been installed at the Gingerland Dental Unit. Meanwhile, the installation of the other two at the Charlestown Dental Unit will follow in short order.
She shared her immense gratitude to the embassy of Taiwan. for their continued generosity. The country’s continued assistances allow the twin-island federation to flourish and help them meet several of their developmental goals. She detailed the importance of diplomatic relations with countries such as these as being highly critical for meeting the developmental agendas of the people.

Some other members of the ministry of Health, Gender Affairs and Social Empowerment attended the handover ceremony
Minister Jahnel Nisbett stated that she cannot underscore enough the value of public/private and diplomatic partnerships such this as we continue to build out the health space in Nevis. No man is an island, we cannot do it alone and thus must recognize the value in friendship such as the 40 year friendship between St. Kitts and Nevis and the Republic of China Taiwan.
