The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Dr Terrance Drew, took to his social media account to thank the Cao Zhong Zhi Foundation, a charity group based in Taiwan, for their generous donation to the JNF General Hospital. The Charity group channelled their contribution through the Embassy of Taiwan in St Kitts and Nevis.
The medical equipment that the Cao Zhong Zhi Foundation donated to JNF General Hospital was recieved by the government of St Kitts and Nevis during a short yet significant ceremony. The event was hosted on Thursday, May 11, 2023. The prime minister shared a message expressing his gratitude to the Embassy of Taiwan and the Cao Zhong Zhi Foundation for their generous donation.
Dr Terrance Drew assured that the offering would be used for the benefit of the people of St Kitts and Nevis. The country’s Prime Minister also handles the health ministry’s responsibility for the country. As a former practising doctor, He understands the importance of healthcare for the people of the country and the world at large
Accordingly, he is committed to making critical developments in the Ministry of Health and making quality healthcare available to the country’s people. The Republic of China Taiwan makes significant contributions to the cause of Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew. Through the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), St Kitts and Nevis have recieved generous donations for the education, healthcare and sports sectors.
During the handover ceremony hosted by St Kitts and Nevis, the resident Ambassador of Taiwan to St Kitts and Nevis, Michael Lin, was present at the JNF General Hospital. Here, the government of St Kitts and Nevis accepted a donation of medical equipment. The donation included wheelchairs, steel folding commodes, walkers and walking canes.
The Prime Minister of the country and the Minister of Health, Dr Terrance Drew and the Junior Minister of Youth Empowerment, Ageing and Disabilities, Isalean Phillip and other senior government officials were also present at the ceremony where the resident ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) made the donation on the behalf of the charity.
