St Kitts and Nevis hosted the Youth Parliament of Antigua and Barbuda to the island. The St Kitts and Nevis Youth Parliament is hosting the inaugural sitting of the Eastern Caribbean Youth Assembly. SKNYPA is hosting the event in collaboration with their Antigua and Barbuda counterparts.
The authorities shared that the inaugural sitting of the Eastern Caribbean Youth Assembly will be an extremely crucial opportunity. The attendants can come discuss areas in which they can promote regional unity and support the growth of the whole region.
The sitting was hosted at the National Assembly Chambers in St Kitts. The attendants of the St Kitts and Nevis. The officials have shared that the parliamentary sitting establishes that the youngsters of the whole region can come together to discuss issues of importance.
The youngsters have been working as youth leaders and representing their respective nations. With St Kitts and Nevis taking the lead for the event, the youngsters of the country are under a spotlight.
Their talent has been helping youngsters across the federation be inspired by the work done by the youth parliament. The youngsters take the opportunity to share their experiences with their counterparts across the region.
The members of the National Youth Parliament of Antigua and Barbuda and St kitts and Nevis Youth Parliament have officially signed the Eastern Caribbean Youth Parliament Network Agreement. The ceremony was hosted at the Executive Dining Room of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) on August 16, 2025.
The aim of the collaboration is to make the youth parliament a unit for the whole region. The authorities of the St Kitts and Nevis Youth parliament Association said that the event was chaired by Mauriel Knight.
Knight served as the Immediate Past President of SKNYPA and took the opportunity to reflect on his career and experiences. He also delivered a welcome address for the event and discussed the background on the vision and purpose behind the Network.
