The Embassy of St. Kitts and Nevis to the Republic of China (Taiwan) made the announcement of the 1st Summer Camp of 2026. The camp is being organized as part of the Embassy’s Education and English Language Program and the SKNLOVE Outreach Program.
The camp is a three day initiative which began on August 5 and will conclude on Friday August 7, 2026 at the Ger-Jyh Senior High School in No. 260, Dazhi Street, Sanchong District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. The camp starts daily from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. The camp is being hosted under the theme of “St. Kitts and Nevis-A Sustainable Island State”.
The Embassy is organizing the camp in partnership with Ger-Jyh Senior High School. The information of the camp was shared by the Embassy online on their official social media handle where they also shared the glimpse of the first day of the camp.
The Embassy said, “Our 1st Summer Camp for 2026 started yesterday, August 5th, at one of our partner schools, Ger-Jyh Senior High School”. The Embassy explained that during the camp participants get to know about 7 pillars of St. Kitts and Nevis Sustainable Island State Agenda by engaging in several activities which are being led by the embassy students.
The Embassy stated, “Students are getting the opportunity to learn about the 7 pillars of our Sustainable Island State Agenda through interactive activities lead by our students”.
On the first day of the camp attendees got to know about the historical sites of St. Kitts and Nevis. The session was led by Jacinth Hunkins and accompanied by Deamond Maynard, Ezrah Brandy, Patricia Clarke and Ansel Lin.
In the session the Embassy shared information about some of the major historical sites of the federation with campers including Brimstone Hill, Black Rocks, Sugar Mills and the Bath Hotel. After the session, attendees made the replicas of the historical sites with the help of the Embassy officials.
Additionally, the campers also experienced the St. Kitts and Nevis Music which under the supervision of Tyrique Jeffers and Ambassador Donya L. Francis and Jahmarley Riley also accompanied Jeffers in helping to understand the music to the campers.
Notably, the attendees were introduced to the different genres of St. Kitts and Nevis music and after which they were asked to write a calypso song.
