The officers of the St Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authorities have welcomed the inaugural call from the Oceania Nautica. The welcome ceremony for the cruise ship was hosted on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
The officers of the SCASPA came together to give the cruise ship a welcome into the island with a formal ceremony and plaque exchange. The arrival of the Oceania Nautica to the shores of the island is a major development for the cruise sector of the country.
The boutique, luxury ship made its first trip to the island for the 2025-26 cruise season and is set to return to the island in a few weeks. The next call from the ship will come on March 6, 2026.
The Oceania Nautica is popular for its “re-inspired” neo-classical elegance and intimate atmosphere. The ship sailed into Port Zante with 684 guests aboard the ship.
All the passengers and crew aboard the ship were given a positive welcome.
The officials from the St Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority were present at the welcome ceremony. The attendants included, CEO of the St Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority, Adeola Moore, COO, Mr. Calvin Duggins. The representatives of the St Kitts Tourism Authoriity were present at the event, led by the CEO of the SKTA, Kelly Fontenelle.
The island has been working with international partners and cruise lines to make the destination more lucrative for the tourists.
The results of these efforts are apparent in the form of the arrival of more and more cruise ships to the island. The tourism officials of St Kitts and Nevis have shared that they are delighted to see more and more partnerships forming and bearing fruit.
