Samal Duggins, Minister of Sports and Creative Economy attended the Verchilds High School Graduation ceremony. The graduation event was hosted over the previous weekend and Minister Duggins attended the event not only in the capacity of a guest but as a former student.
The Minister has shared that he was proud to be sitting among friends and family members of the graduating students. The Minister reflected on his own journey as a student in the Verchilds High School. He highlighted that the institution has shaped the personalities and futures of several students across the island nation.
Samal Duggins shared several images from the graduation ceremony which he attended over the weekend. He had the opportunity to interact with several students and educators of the island nation.
He appreciated the high school for the successful execution of the graduation ceremony. He said that every year the school executes the ceremony with thoughtfulness. The Minister also extended his heartfelt congratulations to the 2025 cohort of students who graduated this year.
He noted that the 2025 cohort of students have made them proud and extended his best wishes to the students for their bright futures.
Minister of Creative Economy, Samal Duggins, highlighted that the Class of 2025 gave us every reason to celebrate. The class had an overall pass rate of 94% which speaks to the dedication of the educators and the Principal of the high school Principal Thomas.
The Minister lauded the staff and management for their dedication into nurturing the youngsters of the island.
Minister Duggins also addressed the students of the Verchilds High School, expressing his pride in the students achievements saying that they are proof of the fact that hard work pays off. The Minister urged them to continue moving forward, believing in themselves and making the school and their nation proud.
