St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Terrance Drew and the Labour Party continue to stand up for their words, fulfilling the promise of extending their hands to the students with back-to-school materials under one one-on-one laptop program.

PM Drew paid a visit to Dean Glass Primary School to fulfil what Geoffrey Hanley – the Deputy Minister and Minister of Education, had promised early this Monday in the sitting of the National Assembly.

During the event, Dr Geoffrey Hanley highlighted some important aspects of the program. He emphasised that investing in the one-on-one laptop was not a waste of money, as others presumed because the results will be seen in the future.

The donation of the laptops will facilitate the students in their educational endevours. The laptops which are being donated contain the textbook that is already downloaded, exercises are also included, and videos for reinforcement of the topics taught are also part of the packages.

These laptops have numerous benefits, as teachers can now administer quizzes and tests from the devices, and students can see the results of their trials within the blink of an eye.

This program of one-on-one laptops is not only beneficial to the students but also the parents as these laptops have tracking devices where parents will have access to track their children’s performance, and it will help the teachers to keep track of the performance of students and see who needs some extra help.

The Minister of Education has urged the students to take care of the devices and hold to them like precious gems because they set to help them throughout their studies.

In addition, this is not the first time that the Labour Party has donated necessary equipment to the students throughout the years. PM Drew and Dr Geoffrey Hanley have always looked out for the future of the St Kitts and Nevis students from pre-school to high school.
