The NIA and education department in Nevis have been working tirelessly to support and make educational opportunities available to learners of the primary and high schools of the island. The Premier and leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement, Mark Brantley is also playing the most crucial role.
Recently, the Premier took to his Facebook account to share an update regarding the development of the education sector in Nevis.
Reportedly, The education department in the Nevis Island Association has received a new school bus as a part of a donation from the Windsong foundation. This donation will bring the number of school buses on the island to a combined total of 7 school buses.
In light of this development, Mark Brantley, the Premier of Nevis and head of the NIA, took to his Facebook account to thank the Windsong foundation for the donation.
Further, he expressed his happiness and excitement on receiving the donation as he stated that something good was happening in the island.
Premier Brantley also took the opportunity to congratulate the junior Minister of Education, Troy Liburd, as his department has benefitted from donating five new school buses from the foundation.
On Facebook, the Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley, wrote, Huge congratulations to Hon Troy Liburd and his team who have now secured some five brand new buses bringing our fleet to 7 school buses.
Recently, the schools in Nevis also received more than 250 tablets in the form of donations from the same Windsong foundation. At the time, Junior Minister Troy Liburd had shared the update on his Facebook account, expressing his gratitude to the Windsong foundation for their donation. These donations would help ensure that the students of the Primary schools in Nevis do not have to suffer due to the lack of available resources.
Premier Mark Brantley and his team at the NIA are constantly making efforts to uplift the island’s facilities to reach par with the rest of the Caribbean region and the world.
