The sports season has started in St Kitts and Nevis with relays, sprints and other sports related activities being executed in several communities. The minister of sports and the creative economy in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, Samal Duggins has taken to his social media to share some glimpses of the pre-season social event. The event was hosted for MFCR Old Road United Jets, who will face their first opponents on February 11, 2023.
He shared some glimpses of the event, talking enthusiastically about the time he spent interacting with the MFCR Old Road United Jets players. He explained that It’s always a vibe when I spend quality time in my community with the talented and most promising players from the MFCR Old Road United Jets.
Minister of Sports, Samal Duggins elaborated on his experience at the pre-social season. He wrote on his social media that Last night (February 8) was no different as we “chopped it up” at a pre-season social. The said event included team building activities, motivational speeches, good food, jersey presentations and tokens of appreciation.
He further stressed that he had the privilege to reaffirm our commitment to the team. A representative from CleanRite accompanied Minster Duggins to the team building and other excersises. Further, he took the opportunity to present on behalf of Quasim Walker and myself this quarter’s contribution to Club President Cuthbert Caines.
The minister of Sports and the creative economy, Samal Duggins previously attended a thanksgiving service with the team. Minister Duggins is highly committed to supporting his community’s sports teams and clubs. The first match of the season is scheduled for February 11, 2023. The competing teams are MFCR Old Road United Jets and the Saint Paul’s United.
Accordingly, Minister Samal Duggins said he is looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday 11th February at the venue, (Samuel-Williams Playing Field, Verchilds) when the MFCR Old Road United Jets secure their first victory of the season against St. Paul’s United. He especially mentioned the parliamentary representative of Constituency #6, Dr Denzil Douglas and Senator Joyelle Clarke
