Dr Tivon Browne has been honoured to be the Youth Impact 12 Awardee in Health and wellbeing. Dr Browne was born in the town of Basseterre, St Kitts. However, shortly after, his family moved to the humble village of Butler’s on Nevis. He was raised in this area. He began the journey of his tertiary education at the local community college, Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College.

His education further continued at St George’s University in Grenada. Dr Browne completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology in May of 2016 in Grenada. People familiar with the gentleman suggest he was a man of greater aspirations. Accordingly, he applied to and got admission to the Keith B. Taylor Scholars Program within the St. George’s University School of Medicine at Northumbria University, UK.

Following his enrollment, he continued to train in the United States of America; during his training, he developed a passion for community medicine. Further, he completed his course of study and graduated in April 2020. During his academic journey, Dr Tivon Browne always found time to give back to the community. He was engaged in several charitable causes, such as food drives, community clinics and health fairs, and the Special Olympics.

In 2021, he co-published the article “Physiology, Vestibular System” with other professionals in connection with Texas A&M University and StatPearls.

Dr Tivon Browne has always emphasised the importance of family as a dedicated father, son, brother and friend. The medical practitioner and honoured awardee of the Youth Impact 12 in the area of Health and Wellbeing is a very outgoing person. He enjoys many outdoor activities during his leisure time. These include running, hiking, sports and diving. Of all his many past times, his favourites are horticulture, bird watching and travelling.

Dr Browne is working with the Ministry of Health on the island of Nevis; He is one of the primary staff at the Alexander Hospital. At the institution, he assumes the role of a General Practitioner. Since returning to Nevis, Dr Browne has advocated for gender-based causes, youth empowerment and health and wellness education.

Tivon Browne has participated in numerous community-based, health screenings, and fitness events. Dr Browne’s ultimate goal is to improve the community health system and the health of the people of St. Kitts and Nevis.
