St Kitts: The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Dr Terrance Drew has awarded the scholarships to 90 deserving students. The officials have shared that the scholarships will help in students getting access to quality education.
The scholarship programme has been supporting gifted youngsters in their pursuit of education. The scholarships are given out annually to a group of students. The handover of the scholarship was hosted on Friday.
The prime Minister shared some images from the handover ceremony on his social media account. The event was attended by the students and their parents and guardians. He personally awarded the scholarship certificates to all the students
The Prime Minister said that it is their responsibility to support the students in the development stage of their life. As such, he pledged to continue offering the scholarship for the students of the nation for several years in the future.
He also claimed that he will continue to expand the initiative to the best of their capabilities. This year, 90 students have received scholarships from Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew.
According to the leader, this is the largest group of students to benefit from the initiative. He was proud to note that he has helped ease the financial burden of many vulnerable families through this initiative.
According to the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, it is the responsibility of everyone to do their own part in giving the children a good upbringing. He encouraged the people to take the time to do things that can positively impact the lives of these students.

The Prime Minister, Dr Drew and his deputy, Dr Geoffrey Hanley recently attended a significant scholarship handover facilitated by the government of Republic of China (Taiwan). The scholarship was meant to facilitate higher education for the students of St Kitts and Nevis in Taiwan.
