Four new confirmed cases of coronavirus were reported from India today.
With the addition of these four cases, the total number of COVID-19 virus patients in the country has gone up to 43.
A report from Kerala said that a three-year-old child who flew down to Cochin International Airport from Italy tested positive for the virus.
The child’s parents are also being tested for the presence of the virus now.
According to another report which came in from Agra, the number of coronavirus cases in Uttar Pradesh has gone up to 6 after a factory worker tested positive for the virus after he came in contact with a businessman having the virus.
Earlier, six members from the businessman’s family were admitted to the Safdarjung hospital in New Delhi and out of six, five members of the family had tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Health authorities have already checked more than 150 persons who came in contact with the said businessman from Agra.
Delhi has reported another confirmed case of COVID-19 today.
In the meantime, Jammu and Kashmir has reported its first coronavirus case today, and it came as a 63-year-old woman, who came back from Iran recently, and she was tested positive for the virus.
Kerala was the first state in India that reported coronavirus cases when three persons who returned from Wuhan in January, were tested for the virus and were found infected.
These three patients have been discharged after recovery. Yesterday, five new cases were reported from the Kerala, which is in the southern part of India.
All of the new persons who have tested positive for the virus had travelled recently to Italy.
The Kerala government has now issued a warning against those persons who are hiding travel history to affected nations.
The Union Health Ministry has stated that the man, who died in a hospital isolation ward in West Bengal’s Murshidabad district had tested negative for coronavirus.
Although, he was admitted there with suspected symptoms of COVID-19 following his return from Saudi Arabia.
