The senator with ministerial responsibility for Education, Information Technology, Library Services, Youth and Sports, Troy Liburd, has taken to his social media account to share glimpses of the sports event hosted in Nevis. The Elizabeth Pemberton Primary School hosted their annual relay on Sunday, January 22, 2022.
The Primary School hosted the event under the directive of the Ministry of Sports in Nevis. In line with this, the minister of Sports, Troy Liburd, shared that the event was very popular. According to the Senator, the Elizabeth Pemberton Primary School attracted a lot of crowds to their annual relay festival and “It was very loud.”

The organizers had announced in a previous update that they would collect a fee of $5 for non-participating children to gain entry to the relay races. Additionally, any adults who want to watch the event paid an entry fee of $10 to enter.
The Elizabeth Pemberton Primary School hosted the relay on Sunday, January 22, at the Nevis Athletic Stadium. The event started at 1:30. The Sports meet had several different contests, including the 4x100M races, 4x150M races, 4x200M races, 4x300M races, and 4x400M races. The Elizabeth Pemberton Primary School annual relay Festival will also have medleys and mixed relays.
