Premier Brantley visited a man who goes by the name Reds for the second time this year. Reds was reported to have lost his old house and belongings earlier this year during a fire outbreak at his home.
On 21 May 2023, Premier Brantley visited Reds, who had just lost his home in a fire and offered him comfort during his hard time.
On 29 December 2023, Premier Brantley visited Reds for the second time to see his new home constructed in Bath Village by a Bath Villager.
Premier Brantley described the house as simple, and he was touched by how Reds expressed the joy of, once again, having someplace to call his own was truly heartwarming.
Premier Brantley extended his graduate to Jahnel Nisbett and her team for fulfilling Reds’ dream of having a home once again.
Premier Brantley took to social media and wrote, “I wish to thank Jahnel Nisbett and her team for bringing this to reality for this senior citizen and to the Cabinet for approving funding to have this done. I also thank young Roger Myers of Bath, who has a unique small business building such homes and whose services we utilized.”
Furthermore, Premier Brantley expressed how happy he was to see his friend Reds smile again after he had lost everything just a few months ago.
Additionary, Premier Brantley took to social media and expressed his delightfulness in meeting Hadya Claxton and a team from Southern University.
Premier Brantley highlighted that he met with them to discuss opportunities for training for Nevisian youth under the recently signed MOU between St Kitts Nevis and Southern University.
He wrote ”I thank Education Minister Troy Liburd and Permanent Secretary Zahnella Claxton for joining me at this significant meeting. Our young people can look forward to more scholarships and more training in the coming year.”
