The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, recently organized a meeting with the members of the Diaspora, meeting with the people of St Kitts and Nevis residing in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia Areas for a fruitful discussion. The Prime Minister expressed his eagerness to receive the diaspora members. Notably, the diaspora interaction session saw the attendance of a large number of students.

The Prime Minister took to his social media account to share some glimpses during the meetings with people in the Diaspora. At the same time, Prime Minister conveyed that he values interacting with fellow nationals of St Kitts and Nevis. The diaspora meeting took place from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

The Prime Minister engaged the members of the Diaspora community for the second time since assuming the prime minister’s office. The first meeting took place in Florida, and similar to the recent interaction, the Diaspora members got to interact with their leader.

In line with this, PM Dr Terrance Drew shared that he has made it a point to capitalize on every opportunity to share the developments within our beloved Federation. He also expressed that he takes every opportunity to hear the concerns and suggestions of the people as they work together to lift our nation.

In line with this, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew expressed that Nation-building is a people-centred, multi-pronged service. According to the Prime Minister, nation-building requires commitment, consistency, and the input of all. We are all in this thing together.

Over 70 nationals attended the Diaspora meeting of the Prime Minister. Here, Dr Drew spoke on topics of national importance and provided significant updates to the people, including the new student loan initiative at the Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis.

They also discussed solutions and actions that the government of St Kitts and Nevis is taking to address infrastructural challenges such as energy and housing development. Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew addressed the other questions from nationals on topics of discussion ranging from constitutional reform to the engagement of the members of the Diaspora in skills development.
