The Minister of Justice and legal affairs in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, Attorney General Garth Wilkin, recently took to his social media account to share the image of the Official Coat of Arms for St Kitts Nevis. At the same time, the Minister took the opportunity to share his disappointment over the butchering of the country’s official symbol.
He asserted that the image that he shard on his social media is the only official Coat of Arms of St Kitts and Nevis. He also explained to several social media users that the people of St Kitts and Nevis had altered the national symbol at their whim and fancy. Additionally, Minister Garth Wilkins explained that those who have taken to altering and butchering the St Kitts and Nevis Coat of Arms are people who could care less about the institutions that make us who we are as a proud people.
With this, the Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs in the government of St Kitts and Nevis observed that Nation Building requires attention to detail, truth over misinformation and the collective well-intentioned energy of every citizen of this Federation.
In light of his observation, as mentioned earlier, Minister Garth Wilkin expressed that: Everyone has a role to play in the nation-building effort of St Kitts and Nevis. In the same regard, He added that detail is important. Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs Garth Wilkin urged the people to fact-check before jumping to conclusions or riding the waves of negative hype.
He also urged the people not to let themselves be influenced or distracted by the agendas of the ill-willed few from playing an important role in making us a truly Sustainable Island State.
Finally, while sharing the wish for the people of St Kitts to have a good day, Minister Garth Wilkins urged them to focus on the positive changes that the country’s government is regularly introducing to the people.
