The prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, is on a trip to Washington DC for the World Bank and IMF spring meetings. The journey to the United States would last a week, starting on April 10, 2023, and concluding on April 16, 2023. The Prime Minister took to her social media account to share the took to his social media account to share some glimpses of his participation in the 5K walk with the nationals of St Kitts and Nevis.
The 5K walk was hosted at Washington DC by St Kitts and Nevis National Association in Washington DC. All St Kitts and Nevis nationals gathered at the venue during the 5K walk event. Several high-ranking officials of St Kitts and Nevis accompanied the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew. The Prime Minister’s team included:
- The Permanent Secretary (AG) in the Prime Minister’s Office, Naeemah Hazelle,
- Chargé D’Affaires Ad Interim at St Kitts and Nevis Embassy in Washington DC, Shanelle Simmonds
- St.Kitts and Nevis Interim Representative to the OAS, Sonia Boddie-Thompson,
- The President and Vice President of St Kitts and Nevis Nationals Association of Washington, D.C Neville Mitcham and Corrine Mussington Archibald
All the attendants of the event got the chance to interact with the Prime Minister and his team. The event took place on the heels of the Spring meetings. Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew also hosted a diaspora meeting for the benefit of the nationals of St Kitts and Nevis.
The diaspora nationals of St Kitts and Nevis had the chance to interact with their leader during his trip. Accordingly, the people applauded the initiative of the Prime Minister and his team for the initiative.
