The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, travelled to Florida for a diaspora meeting in Miami. During the meeting, the Prime Minister and his team, consisting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Denzil Douglas. The Prime Minister took to his social media to share glimpses into the diaspora interaction.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew invited the members of the Diaspora in Florida to interact with the representatives from St Kitts and Nevis regarding the issues that the members of the diaspora face.
Dr Denzil Douglas, who accompanied his prime Minister on the trip to Florida, shared a detailed account of the diaspora meeting and interaction. According to the update shared by Dr Douglas, the meeting was amazing. He took the opportunity to thank the nationals of St Kitts and Nevis living in Florida, Miami, for receiving him and Prime Minister Terrance Drew for the meeting.
Dr Douglas also took the opportunity to express his deepest gratitude to the people of Miami for their strong support. The nationals of St Kitts and Nevis living in the Diaspora in Miami, Florida, received the representatives from their home country at the Fancy Loaf Bakery. Here, Dr Terrance Drew and Dr Douglas had their lunch after they arrived in Miami from Nasssu.
The update from Dr Denzil Douglas suggested that the two Kittitian leaders had an amazingly delicious spread of typical Saturday meals from St Kitts and Nevis. Then, the Minister of Foreign revealed some details from the town hall meeting that the Diaspora Unit was hosting in Florida. Here, he confessed that this was the first time when he was a part of such a meeting with Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew
Dr Denzil Douglas expressed that the government can use the RIDU (Regional Integration and Diaspora Unit ridu.gov.kn) to strengthen the relationship of the Administration with citizens in diaspora and create greater provisions for them to participate in the economic, social and political development of our beloved country.
