Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew extended warm greetings to all the moms on the prestigious occasion of ‘International Mother’s Day.” He commended their tireless efforts and sacrifices as the nurturing force behind the growth of the community.
He shared a picture of himself posing with his mother on his official social media handle (Facebook) and shared a heartfelt message in honours of all the mothers in the Federation, especially paying a tribute to his own mother.
The leader of twin-island Federation expressed his gratitude to his mother, Ras Gerzel ‘Pet’ Mills, whose kindness, love and respect have helped him to shape his life. He cherishes his mother dearly and his words reflected his respect and love towards his mother.
He termed the mothers as the pillars of the families and the society. They are full of love and sacrifice their lives for the welfare of their children. The prime minister has also shared that mother’s should be celebrated every day. PM Drew specially recognised the untiring efforts of those women who are motherly figures to the individuals under their care.
“Today though, as the calendar has it, a special spotlight belongs to all the loving and caring mothers around the glove. Special acknowledgement also goes out to all of the women who have been and are motherly figures to those under their care,” added Dr Drew.

The Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis extended wishes to all the amazing mons, including Constituency #8 as well to them who is residing abroad.
In addition to this, PM Drew celebrated Mother’s Day this year by visiting the new mothers at the Joseph N France General Hospital (JNF Hospital), along with his wife Mrs Diani Prince- Drew.

They have presented a Mother’s Day tokens to the new mothers on the maternity ward. Their efforts received many reactions from the people of the Federation on the Facebook. Some of the comments read as:
A person named Enoch Smithen commented, “Very Good Hon Dr Terrance Drew and Mrs Drew for giving a shearing love on Mother’s Day.”
Similarly, another FB user, by the name of Millie Nisbett- Dolphin quoted, “I swear St Kitts has the BEST PM and GOVERNMENT in the World. Thanks Mr PM.”
