St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew extended congratulations and provided certificates to all the participants of the “Sound Your Future” Summer Camp on August 24, 2024.
The “Sound Your Future” Music Summer Camp was held under the theme “Building Our own Unique Sound to Create a Future We Love to Hear.” This week-long camp developed musical skills among the participants and provided them with a platform for learning, growing, and enhancing their creativity.
Prime Minister Drew emphasised that over the course of this week, the children who participated in the camp has the opportunity to explore and develop their talents under the guidance of both local and regional facilitators.
Significantly, PM Drew also extended gratitude to the coordinator and all of the facilitators who dedicated their time and effort to ensure that the children were engaged in meaningful and enriching activities.

In addition to this, the children also got the opportunity to express how they felt about the issue of crime and violence and considerably, they were given valuable instructions on how to lead positive lives and reject negative behaviours.
Notably, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis collaborated with National Calypso Monarch Queen Independent for this Summer Camp in order to music skills and to develop well-rounded individuals who can contribute positively to the society.
The camp was supported by a diverse group of facilitators, including Jelani Shaw from Trinidad, Cory Tyson from Nevis, MJ Byron from St Kitts, Loughlin Tatem from St Kitts, Creighton Pension from St Kitts, Venelle Powell from Nevis, and Larry Vaughan from St Kitts.

All these facilitators have guided the participants of the summer camp in various fields such as writing, performance, production, business, etc., providing them with valuable knowledge and skills.
This ‘Sound Your Future’ Musical Summer Camp is an initiative towards building a future that aligns with creativity, friendship, and positive change.
