PM Terrance Drew applauds his son TJ for his speech at remarkable teens Award gala

The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, recently took to his social media account to share his pride and appreciation for his son, Terrance Junior (TJ). He was present at The Sint Eustatius Remarkable Teens Awards Distribution Gala. The youngster delivered a remarkable speech at the event.

He featured in the event as a guest speaker and caught the attention of his father, the prime minister, who took the opportunity to express his pride and applause for his son. In his turn, Terrance Junior addressed the assembly at the Sint Eustatius Remarkable Teens Awards Distribution Gala on behalf of his father, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis.

TJ shared that he hails from the beautiful twin islands of St Kitts and Nevis and he was bringing warmest greetings from the Prime Minister. He lauded the people of Statia for staying true to their roots and close to their culture. Additionally he pointed out that the Twenty-Five Most Remarkable Teens Awards initiative for youth recognition, was founded in November 2011 by the Department of Youth Empowerment.

He asserted that this is the only initiative of their kind for the region and aimed to recognize the talented teenagers of the country. During his stay at the Golden rock, he interacted with the teenagers. He claimed that after their interaction, he realized that the youth of St kitts and Nevis is not a lost generation.

Meanwhile, Terrance Drew Junior claimed that the newsfeed is not a suitable or true representation of the youth of the country. He stated that the news shares some stories of drug addiction and other negative stories in relation with the people of the country. The son of the prime minister, TJ is a prominent member of the youth wing of the  St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party.

He shared his views of the image of the teens of the federation and questioned why only the negativities are highlighted in the media, like stories of youth becoming addicted  towards drugs, smartphones, burglary and bullying, etc. He pointed out, during the awards gala that there are better, smarter more talented individuals in the federation.

He stated that only the negative aspects are highlighted while all the positivity gets overshadowed by this. Terrance Drew Junior was most delighted to deliver this speech at the The Sint Eustatius Remarkable Teens Awards Distribution Gala.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis expressed his best wishes to his son and urged him to keep on the straight path. There are many temptations to ensnare our youths, but be mindful always!
