The federal assembly of St Kitts and Nevis will observe a sitting on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. During the sitting of the national assembly, the members of the federal assembly will deliberate on the good governance agenda. The prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, recently visited his social media account to share an update on the proceeding.
Good Governance is one of the foremost promises made by the administration led by the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party. Accordingly, Dr Drew felt extremely proud to announce through his social media that today will be a momentous day in parliament, where the second reading for the good governance agenda will occur.
He further expressed his opinion on the momentousness of the occasion. Regarding the good governance agenda, Dr Terrance Drew stated that the previous government of St Kitts and Nevis had promised the people of St Kitts and Nevis that they would enact the good governmance agenda. However, the government could not deliver on their promise. In the words of Dr Drew, “there was nothing but deception.”
Accordingly, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis expressed that since the people saw such deception, they voted for meaningful change in the interest of Good Governance. Dr Terrance Drew said in the social media post that Good governance laws are vital for the continued progress of St Kitts and Nevis as an independent nation.
Elaborating on the importance of deliberating the good governance agenda, Prime Minister said that these laws would seek to eliminate corruption and self-serving public figures who seek to enrich themselves and their families. Furthermore, Dr Drew urged the people to support him.
Dr Terrance Drew alerted the people of St Kitts and Nevis that a lot was being said to distract, but he encouraged the people to ignore the noise and keep focused. He promised that together we would make history and transform the governance landscape for the better.
