Nationals of St Kitts and Nevis awarded with National Honors for their service

The government of St Kitts and Nevis honored the people of St Kitts and Nevis with national honors for their commitment to the service of the country, The awards ceremony was hosted on the occasion of the National Heroes Day on September 16.

Some deserving people from all over the country were given the Medal of Honour, Companion of the Star of Merit for the dedicated service of the people to the country. The aim of the events is to make sure that the people of the country are appreciated for their work.,

The officials have shared that eight people of the country were awarded for outstanding and meritorious service to the Nation. The following people were honored with the Medal of Honour

– Mr. Meredith Charles was honors for his service to the Security and Defence of the country

– Ms. Joyah Walters for her service to the Health and Medicine

– Pastor Clive Saunders for his service to the Community Service and Religion

– Mr. Trevor ‘Marty’ Huggins for his service to the Sports sector of the country

– Mrs. Etsu Bradshaw-Caines for her service to the Community Service

– Mr. Washington J. Fraites for his service to the Business and Entrepreneurship

– Mr. Lennox Warner for his service to the Business and Entrepreneurship

– Mr. Stedroy Douglas for his service to the Sports and Community Service

Further, another eight people of St Kitts and Nevis were honored for long and meritorious service, or for loyal and devoted service to the Nation. The Companion of the Star of Merit is bestowed upon:

– Pastor Leroy Benjamin Sr for his service to the Religion and Spiritual Leadership

– Mr. Goldwin O. Caines for his service to the Public and Civic Service

– Dr. Jerome Thomas for his service to the Agriculture

– Mrs. Lydia Thompson-Claxton for her service to the Sports

– Mr. William V. A. Hodge for his service to the Education and Academia

– Ms. Lorozine Williams for her service to the Education and Academia

– Mrs. Dorothy Clarke for his service to the Education and Academia

– Mr. Franklyn Dorset for his service to the Law & Justice and Sports
