The Minister of Tourism in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, Marsha Henderson, recently shared a significant update about the airlift capacity of St Kitts and Nevs. The deputy CEO of the St Kitts Tourism Authority, Melancia Marshall, travelled to Chicago with the Minister of tourism to develop the airlift capacity of the country and bring more flights to the destination,
The gesture will increase the ease of travel in St Kitts and Nevis and attract many travellers. The Minister of tourism shared that the SKTA is working diligently to rebuild the airlift capacity of the country is key to rebuilding the capacity of St Kitts and Nevis. The Minister asserted that they interacted with several St Kitts and Nevis stakeholders during their visit to Chicago.
Minister Marsha Henderson noted they successfully created a robust plan to develop the tourism sector to achieve economic stability and rebuild livelihoods. Following this, she discussed the ministry’s recent success in introducing Inter Caribbean Airways. She asserted that they are working to make waves of progress to the shores.
Minister Marsha Henderson asserted that as a result of their efforts and the negotiations of the Deputy CEO of St Kitts Travel Authority, they obtained additional flights for the summer. She informed the people that due to the talks of the SKTA, the lovers of the St Kitts Music Festival can get access to additional flights.
American Airlines has recently agreed to additional, non-stop Miami flights for the twenty-fifth edition of the Music Festival. Marsha Henderson noted that on Wednesday, June 21, St Kitts and Nevis will receive two inbounds and two outbound flights on June 25, 2023. The flight will accommodate the patrons of the music festival.
Additionally, American Airlines has agreed to provide two daily flights non-stop from August 15 to September 5, 2023. This flights will accomodate the students travelling for the summer. She noted that the flights bring good news for the destination, even through the challenges faced by the airlines sector
